The Civil Works Alliance are recruiting a Quality Manager to join our Marine and Tunnelling team at Avonmouth - playing a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of Sizewell C, one of the UK's most ambitious low-carbon infrastructure projects.

As part of the CWA, you'll be part of a highly collaborative team delivering world-class civil engineering as we help build Sizewell C - a 3.2GW nuclear power station that will generate clean, reliable electricity for around 6 million homes for the next 60 years.

This is a critical role within our Avonmouth operations. You'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System across a major section of the project, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, nuclear quality standards, and project-specific requirements. Your work will help to embed a robust culture of quality and assurance across both delivery teams and supply chain partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Digitising quality tracking systems in collaboration with IT and project information teams
  • Providing regular quality performance updates and reporting to senior leadership

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in engineering or a related discipline, or demonstrable experience
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training and a solid understanding of industry standards
  • Proven experience managing quality in large, complex infrastructure projects
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Confidence in leading investigations, driving process improvements, and managing risk
  • A proactive mindset with an eye for detail and a drive to deliver lasting value

If you're passionate about driving quality on a project that will shape the future of sustainable energy in the UK, We'd love to hear from you.
