Description
As an Audit Manager, you will play a key role in managing audit engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and play an important part in the running of the Corporate Team. With clear progression opportunities to R.I. this role offers significant career growth and development. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing audit managers and R.Is within the team to maintain compliance, improve processes and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for your own portfolio of audits from planning to completion across a range of owner-managed businesses, from small to large companies.
- Planning, executing, and finalising audits, identifying key risk areas, and ensuring audit objectives are met.
- Participate in meetings with clients throughout all stages of the audit process, escalating/reporting back when needed to the audit RI.
- Supervising, mentoring, and coaching junior team members to develop their technical abilities, soft skills, and client interaction.
- Managing and improving audit processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We expect this person to have the following experience:
- Qualified Accountant: ACA/ ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant with proven external auditing experience.
- Leading Audits: Experience in leading audit teams, with the ability to make decisions and report back to manager when needed.
- Audit Practice Experience: Strong background in audit and understanding of regulatory obligations and quality standards.
- Risk Assessment: Experience in identifying and assessing risks, implementing effective controls, and maintaining audit quality.
- Client Management: Strong client relationship management skills, able to build and maintain long-term relationships.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Experience in coaching and mentoring audit teams, enhancing both their technical and soft skills.
