We are looking for a Serious Injury Claimant Solicitor with a strong reputation within East Anglia. The role would be aligned to our Cambridge office with hybrid working available. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to business development as we strengthen our profile and develop our market leading team in these regions. Key to the role therefore will be the ability to build business and generate growth.

Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

Head, spinal cord and other serious injuries, such as those resulting in amputation, impairment of senses and permanent disability are life changing. Serious injuries affect our clients in different ways such as their family life, employment opportunities, healthcare needs and everyday quality of life. These claims are by nature hugely traumatic and must be handled with the utmost care and expertise. You will be able to demonstrate expertise in serious injury litigation as well as tenacity and exemplary client care skills.

You'll join Partner Ruth Booy's team. Ruth has over 30 years' experience specialising in cases concerning complex high value catastrophic injury. Ruth is renowned for successfully running high risk cases with complex legal arguments. Having written and presented training programmes for hospital consultants, case managers, police liaison officers, victim support and bereavement volunteers and the Citizen Advice Bureaux Ruth has a wealth of experience in serious injury litigation and an extensive network across East Anglia and the south east Midlands.

Your Role

You will be responsible for enhancing the team's profile in and generating growth from the East Anglia market.

You'll work closely with clients providing them with exceptional legal advice to achieve the best possible resolution for them. You'll be a key member of the Serious Injury team and regularly contribute to area meetings, ensuring your team objectives are being met.

As an experienced solicitor within Serious Injury, you'll have the opportunity to train and mentor others in your team, and we'll provide you with the support and direction to help you do this.

About You

We're looking for an Associate/Senior Associate, who has demonstratable strengths in business development, relationship building, networking and work generation within serious injury. Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A qualfied Solicitor with a current Practising Certificate
  • Ambition, energy and enthusiasm for serious injury litigation
  • Empathy and compassion to help guide our clients through challenging personal circumstances
  • An aptitude for business development and a passion for growing strong client and referrer relationships
  • An established reputation within the East Anglia markets for example recognition by APIL, Legal 500 or Chambers
  • Experience within multi-track Serious Injury claims, ideally with experience in head / spinal cord and / or amputation injuries
