Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative and commercially savvy Graphic or Multi-Disciplined Designer to join our team. This role focuses on designing products in the beauty, lifestyle, and accessories sectors, collaborating with top-tier global brands. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for trends, a passion for product development, and the ability to produce high-quality designs that resonate with clients' branding and market trends.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Art Director and Creative + Development Team to produce product renderings, presentations, and artwork.
- Conceptualize designs tailored to clients' branding, market trends, and preferences.
- Ensure brand consistency throughout projects by understanding and adhering to client guidelines.
- Take ownership of design projects from concept to completion, executing and maintaining high design standard.
- Balance priorities effectively, meeting deadlines while communicating with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to relentlessly collaborate and at the same time work independently on several different projects at once.
- Must be commercially and financially aware of the business, from creative time management of projects and product development.
- Prepare accurate, factory-ready artwork and maintain organized production files for efficiency.
- Create marketing materials, including newsletters and collateral, for TWELVE.
- Additional tasks may include mentoring junior designers, producing mood boards, sample photography, and file organization.
Experience:
- Solid experience in product and packaging design, including rendering.
- Strong skills in creating commercially successful designs, spanning mass-market to luxury.
- Extensive Adobe Creative Cloud- InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator experience necessary.
- Must have excellent layout design skills, including building highly creative client-facing decks.
- Proficient experience in Photoshop renderings and mock-ups.
- Proficient experience in illustrating, printmaking, and typography.
- Proficient understanding of the Pantone colour system.
- Understanding of product development such as budget and material limitations, is beneficial but not necessary
- 3D Experience with Dimensions or Rhino is beneficial but not necessary
Requirements:
- A passion for product - specifically within the beauty, lifestyle, and accessories space
- Strong understanding of brand development and consistency with the capability of solving complex problems through effective design
- Must have their pulse on the latest in product/design/fashion/typography trends.
- Ability to execute design tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work across time zones and outside standard hours when required.
- Must be flexible, open-minded, and respond to constructive criticism with revisions to designs and projects as necessary
- Demonstrate excellent creativity, oral and written communication, listening, and decision-making skills.
