Job Title: Wind Asset Manager

Reports To: Senior Asset Manager

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Engineering, science, or math degree or equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel skills (understanding of macros, visual basic, Python or SQL would be advantageous)
  • Experience in interpreting mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, work instructions, and design reviews.
  • 2+ years of experience in the wind industry. Asset Management, O&M, Construction or Consultancy.
  • Understanding of remote monitoring systems on plant and equipment.

Desirable Qualifications Skills and Experience:

  • Current or previous GWO WaH qualifications would be advantageous.
  • IOSH managing safely or other H&S qualifications (HV awareness, WTSR's)
  • Solar industry experience

Purpose of the Wind Asset Manager:

To directly manage a number of wind assets/SPVs by ensuring best practices for safety, quality and environmental performance, whilst enhancing the overall returns and value of each project and complying with all of the applicable contractual agreements.

You will manage asset management activities carried out on the project; this will involve working with the different departments within Bluefield and also working with external contractors, landlords, advisers and stakeholders to provide a solid asset management function across all of Bluefield's assets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Management of the contracts of the SPVs to ensure that all assets are in compliance with:
    • Statutory requirements for Health, Safety and Environmental performance,
    • Local planning authority requirements,
    • Grid company connection conditions and power purchase agreements,
    • Other agreements in place.
  1. Optimise project performance:
    • Monitor contractor performance during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with a view to ensuring all contracted SLA's are met or bettered,
    • Review and enhance maintenance strategies and activities with a view to reducing down-time,
    • Review regular and other reporting provided by the contractors and ensure any issues are being suitably addressed,
    • Build strong relationships with contractors,
    • Identify and establish the necessary KPIs to monitor the performance of each asset.
  1. Identify equipment faults, carry out diagnoses and troubleshooting activities with support from O&M or the Monitoring Team.
  2. Prepare regular asset management reports on each asset.
  3. With support from O&M's and monitoring team diagnose and remedy operational problems.
  4. Visit company sites to assess status and conditions of the wind farm; maximum of 4 per year per project.
  5. Manage:
    • Spare parts management
    • Management of insurance claims
    • Management of warranty claims
    • Review of site performance calculations
    • Recording and review of key deadlines under project contracts
    • Scheduling and co-ordination of Planned preventative maintenance
    • Site budget creation
    • Site strategies
    • Site specific projects and major works
  1. Maintain data security and confidentiality by using information within the parameters of the job role, any applicable SLAs, the company data policies and / or privacy notices and the statutory guidelines set out within the GDPR and any associated UK legislation, in particular data that is generated by CCTV or that may be classified as personal information.
  2. Comply with all required fire, health and safety requirements for the environment in which you are working, including making yourself aware of the current applicable policies and risk assessments and acting accordingly, and attending any required training.
  3. Any other reasonable task as requested by a Manager, Partner or Director of the business.

  3. Attend team meetings, company meetings, handover meetings and appraisals as required.

Job Location:

Bristol Central and frequent UK and NI travel. Hybrid working available.

There may be opportunities to travel overseas on occasion and this may be required for training purposes.

You are required to visit company sites within the UK; this requires you to be able to drive.

Hours of Work:

37 ½ hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00 am until 5:30 pm.
