We're seeking a future team member for the role of Administrative Assistant our Markets team. This role is located in London.

BNY Markets, through its Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income & Equity, Securities Finance, and Liquidity & Segregation businesses, provides a broad array of products and services for corporate and institutional clients to choose among various vehicles aimed at protecting principal, providing growth and managing risk.

As a member of the Markets Hub the Administrative Assistant role based in London, is responsible for independently completing a full range of advanced administrative activities, in support of five London based executives.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Diary management, arranging of meetings and maintains calendar of appointments for assigned manager(s) and/or team.
  • Makes travel arrangements and manage T&E expense management for team members ensuring that all policies are followed, and items are processed within the provided guidelines
  • Assist with staff onboarding and offboarding which includes requesting equipment, set-up, and access
  • Completes all billing and expense activities, manages supply orders and resolves associated issues on behalf of the office, manager(s) and/or team
  • Activities may also encompass disciplines such as event planning, bookkeeping, as well as standard areas like word processing, data entry etc
  • Could be expected to collaborate on projects related to administrative initiatives.
  • May participate in ad-hoc special projects or administrative initiatives.
  • Priority is on daily/weekly work, but may be responsible for executing work/projects as requested.
  • Has some latitude to adjust daily work routines as needed. Exercises autonomy in anticipating and troubleshooting a range of issues as they arise
  • May establish filing/organizational procedures.
  • Is an intermediate to advanced user of standard business software (word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, etc)
  • Maybe responsible for the minute taking in meetings
  • No direct reports

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Applicable vocational training (e.g., courses on relevant business software like the Microsoft Office Suite of products, basic business writing, or similar) preferred; A degree or relevant business certifications preferred.
  • Several years of total work experience preferred.
