You will join our Project Management Team
As our new Project Manager, you will be part of our Buildings Division in London, UK, reporting into the project management lead in the office. We work across a variety of projects and sectors from large commercial and residential developments, boutique hotels and high-end retail stores to higher education and science buildings locally, nationally and internationally. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Delivery of projects from inception to completion ensuring that scope, contracts, programmes, change management, risk registers, budgets and QA procedures are all in place and maintained through the life of a project.
- Coordinating our Multidisciplinary design consultancy team.
- Managing the design process through design workshops and leading project meetings.
- Develop positive and collaborative working relationships with project team, clients and contractors.
- Communicate with and represent the Client's interest and provide a professional and cost-effective service that meets their expectations.
- Management of sub-consultants as the project requires, typically this may be specialist designers, quantity surveyors or architects.
- Assume responsibility for the day to day management of all project activities including Monthly Reports, Minutes and Programmes, and delivery of presentations when required.
- Ensuring coordinated and high-quality deliverables from our multidisciplinary teams
- Support to bid teams and preparation of proposals for multi-disciplinary tenders alongside the discipline team leaders.

- Preparation and delivery of projects to budget, time and quality
- Creating positive working relationships with Design teams, Clients and Contractors
- Coordinating design deliverables and ensuring quality outputs
- Developing safe, sustainable and profitable solutions

- Minimum HNC/HND in a Building/Civil Engineering/Project Management or related discipline, however a degree is preferred
- Track record demonstrating experience of managing the design and construction process - planning, programming, fee management, understanding appointments and scopes of works, change control, understanding the inter-dependencies of the members of design team when programming works
- Preferably a member or an associate member of an appropriate construction focused association or Institute (APM / ICE) etc. If not currently a member of such organisation you will be required to work towards and achieving qualifications with APM within a reasonable agreed timeframe
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations is desirable, however training will be provided
- Experience of managing commercial processes on projects
- Experience of managing your own workload within a multidisciplinary consultancy
- A basic understanding of procurement methods and contract administration requirements is desirable e.g. NEC, JCT, ACE, ICE, GC Works or FIDIC, however training will be provided as required
- Excellent communication and IT skills are essential to fulfil this position
- Ability to write high quality reports and be able to interrogate financial information
- Ability to confidently and articulately represent Ramboll at client meetings
