We have an exciting growth opportunity for an experienced RICS registered Project Manager to join our Commercial Project Management team which sits within our London based Building Consultancy team. As an Associate Project Manager, you will support the development of a credible business stream within the network of our commercial teams and manage key client projects with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope. You will contribute to the growth and development of the Project Management team by helping to mentor and train the more junior members.

Our busy London based Project Management team consists of a team of 4 and is part of a wider national team of 8 working alongside a quantity surveying and building surveying team. This role is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to work within a growing team with lots of room for career progression.

Main tasks:

  • Responsible for all phases of project management including procurement, design, construction, occupancy, quality control, staffing, and budget management
  • Ability to set up project teams, producing consultant RFPs and managing consultants on projects from inception to completion, including negotiating terms of appointments and fees.
  • Engaging with clients to define project requirements. Establish project work plan and deadlines.
  • Track progress of projects against goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets, and generates reports on status
  • Monitor project costs to ensure they fall within the prescribed budget
  • Manage project team by providing direction and leadership
  • Facilitate client meetings regarding project matters
  • Work closely with other functional areas of the organization, project contractors, internal team members, external collaborators, customers and suppliers
  • People management - line management of staff and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
  • Lead with the production of fee proposals, bid documents, processes and information for other work or new projects.
  • Keep abreast of best practice within the industry by maintaining contact with peers in other market sectors.

What will it take to be successful?

You will be an experienced Project Manager registered with either MRICS / MAPM / CIOB or equivalent professional body. We are looking for enthusiasm, integrity and a can-do attitude; someone who has the ability to manage multiple projects and deal with a variety of work. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, where you will need to be flexible in your approach and contribute to a supportive and collaborative team. You will be prepared to participate in managing and developing other team members, while actively seeking out continuous self-development. Additionally, you will be competent with MS Office and hold a full clean driving licence.
