As an Associate Private Client Manager at Justerini & Brooks, you will play a pivotal role in driving the revenue, margin, and growth of our esteemed private client accounts. Your efforts will directly contribute to the overall success of the business by building and nurturing relationships with high-net-worth (HNW) customers. By leveraging your expertise in fine wines and premium spirits, you will not only meet but exceed sales targets, ensuring that Justerini & Brooks continues to be a leader in the luxury wine and spirits market.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

- Revenue & Growth: Drive overall revenue, margin, and growth for assigned accounts, targeting an NSV of £0.75m with a £265k profit.

- Customer Satisfaction: Maximize customer satisfaction by building strong relationships with HNW clients, driving both recruitment and retention.

- Internal Collaboration: Lead collaborative relationships with internal teams, including the buying team, commercial teams, distributor partnerships, and Diageo Rare teams, to ensure alignment and success.

- Customer Development: Develop and nurture new customers spending between £1,000 and £10,000 annually, selling premium wine and Diageo brands from the Rare portfolio.

- Account Management: Actively handle a full portfolio of private client accounts, maintaining top accounts through regular communication, meetings, and research.

- Forecasting & Planning: Accurately forecast revenue targets and develop customer sales plans to drive sales of strategic Diageo and J&B brands.

- Promotional Activities: Collaborate with the Customer Marketing team to implement promotional activities and incentives, enhancing brand presence and customer engagement.

- Administrative Duties: Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including managing customer reserves, chasing overdue balances, and preparing sales reports.

- Brand Experience: Deliver a world-class brand experience at the point of purchase (POP), setting Justerini & Brooks apart in the luxury market.

- Budget Management: Control the T&E budget for accounts, balancing financial considerations with business proposals.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required:

- Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a wine sales role with a basic understanding of the private client channel.

- Customer Focus: Ability to develop and maintain relationships with HNW clients, understanding their business needs, preferences, and industry relationships.

- Sales Expertise: Proven track record to sell premium wines and spirits, offering expert advice, education, and ideas to customer accounts.

- Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to entertain clients and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

- Organizational Skills: Highly organized, with a planned approach to work, and capable of managing time effectively.

- Problem-Solving: Solutions-oriented, with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.

- Drive & Motivation: Dynamic self-starter, highly motivated, and eager to achieve success, with a focus on results and profit.

- Compliance: Must hold a clean driving license.

Reporting Lines:

This role reports to the Private Client Director (UK) and will be mentored and managed daily by a senior member of the UK private client team. The roleholder will also collaborate with wider commercial teams, customer marketing and marketing teams, digital teams, as well as national and international HNW private clients and international winemakers and merchants.
