Your role
The Associate Implementation Manager is responsible for efficient delivery of white space fit-out installations including coordination of internal and external resources, coordination of procurement activities, coordination of project progress updates, quality assurance and coordination of handover to customers and to Operations. Ability to multi-task, teamwork, commercial effectiveness, and customer focus will be critical to success.
What you'll do
- Manages effective execution of all assigned customer implementation projects, in accordance with the contractual agreements and implementation timelines.
- Is responsible for end-to-end project planning, coordination of work, resource allocation, quality specs and timeline.
- Is responsible for creation of project Purchase Orders for the outsourced work.
- Allocates work to Remote Hands technicians, external vendors, and Security, oversees their effective delivery, and ensures they meet customer and business requirements.
- Performs completeness of works audits and quality checks in accordance with the firm's policies.
- Acts as an interface for customers during the project delivery; coordinates communication with CSMs as required to align with the service wraps.
- Coordinate delivery of multiple installations and keeps a complete record of the process and results.
- Manages RFP process for tendering of large customer installations, compares quotes from different vendors, and participates in the vendor selection process.
- Is responsible for and manages customer handover and acceptance after completion.
- Is responsible for the internal handover of the implemented solution to Operations, including the handover of required project documentation (not included in scope by the Design Engineering) such as commissioning/testing results, etc, depending on the type and size of the installation.
- Assists with coordination of on-site deliveries; is responsible for receipt of goods not supplied by the installing vendor.
- Is responsible for managing a range of internal projects in support of internal network capacity upgrades within the data halls/MMRs and/or white space fit-out projects within the data halls in support of creating new sellable area/capacity.
What you'll need
- College degree preferably technical (i.e.: Engineering, Telecom. Computer Science etc.)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, data centre construction and/or in the telecommunications/engineering industry.
- Working level knowledge of rack, cage, electrical distribution, and data cable infrastructure.
- Working level knowledge in reading/interpreting construction plans, one-line drawings, and construction specifications.
- Working level proficiency in the use of MS Productivity tools, including Word, Access, Excel, Visio.
- Familiarity with project management software MS Project.
- Requires analytical and quantitative skills.
- Must be detail oriented with excellent communications, interpersonal and oral/written presentation skills.
- Must be a self-starter, proactive, flexible, and able to work within and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission critical facilities environment.
