Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • To provide robust and visible leadership as part of the CMG Leadership Team.
  • With the CMG Leadership Team, lead the delivery of the CMG's strategic direction and Integrated Business Plan for delegated areas.
  • To ensure a culture of continuous constructive challenge exists in the CMG, ensuring that progressive solutions, which consider models of best practice, are incorporated
    into service delivery plans.
  • To ensure that sickness absence for staff within specific service areas in the CMG is managed appropriately and in line with the Trust's Sickness Absence Management Policy.
  • Promote clinical information of benchmarking and audit to improve patient experience.

Essential criteria

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of CPD

  • Able to participate in on-call rota

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of working in commercially orientated roles at a senior manager level
  • Evidence of business development, marketing, and financial management resulting in significant in sustained growth
  • Proven track record of achieving challenging performance targets
  • Experience of delivering complex programmes of change
  • IT skills to manage and report on complex performance management information

Desirable criteria

  • Experience within the healthcare sector at senior manager level

Communication and Relationship Skills

Essential criteria

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to motivate staff to deliver challenging targets
  • Ability to present and narrate highly complex data
  • Proven inter and intra organisational influencing skills
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflict

Analytical and Judgement Skills

Essential criteria

  • Evidence of dynamic response to and implementation of solutions to both simple and wicked challenges
  • Able to analyse and understand complex financial and operational data
  • Sensitive to clinical and political demands
