The role
We're looking for senior leader to provide strategic leadership for the development, management and quality assurance of the University of Surrey' s international partnerships and branch campuses. The role leads cross-University teams to identify, evaluate and deliver new partnerships and programmes; oversees financial and contractual negotiations; ensures regulatory compliance and academic excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translate University strategy (incl. Vision 2041) into practical, achievable international partnership delivery plans with clear milestones, risks and KPIs.
- Seek, assess and develop new strategic partnerships; manage and enhance existing partnerships through robust relationship management, performance reviews and improvement plans.
- Direct cross-functional delivery teams (Faculties, Registry/QA, Legal, Finance, International Engagement/Global Partnerships, Marketing & Communications) to
- Build and steward strategic alliances in Europe, Middle East and Asia; represent the University at senior level in forums, networks and partner meetings; deputise for the Director of TNE (incl. Global Engagement & Partnerships) as required.
- Provide leadership to matrixed project teams; clarify roles, decision rights and escalation paths across professional services and Faculties.
About you
You should have a deep understanding of Transnational Education, global higher education trends, knowledge of diverse international markets, and a global perspective on education. Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and awareness, with experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures are essential.
