Job Description
Would you like to work closely with an open and transparent team who work closely together to collaborate and provide ideas . The R & D team have an portfolio of interesting large and complex clients and have the ability to invest time in their clients, provide an exceptional service. This entrepreneurial business line with a spirit and culture that people enjoy.
Working alongside Partners/Directors or alone, you will look to identify, prospect for and deliver support and advice in respect of R&D tax credits to both existing and new clients. This will include advising clients in respect of the quantum of claims, identifying and analysing qualifying expenditure and setting this out in claims submitted to HMRC. A large part of the role will be business development, utilising your specialist R&D tax expertise to identify new potential opportunities to make claims for new and existing clients, and also leveraging your network of potential clients and intermediaries.
Qualifications
Experience required:
- Significant tax experience gained within the profession and/or industry
- Significant R&D tax experience gained working with a variety of client in terms of size, complexity and sector focus
- Knowledge of both HMRC's processes in terms of reviewing claims, and also specific technical knowledge and understanding of what constitutes qualifying activities for R&D tax incentives
- Demonstrable understanding of UK and International businesses and how R&D tax services can be best delivered to benefit them
- Demonstrable track record of business development, winning business from both new and existing clients
- Technically capable adviser who is able to manage complex client work
- Demonstrable experience of managing people and clients
- Project management experience
- Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
Professional Qualifications and Education
- Finance, accounting, economic or engineering qualification
