AECOM is seeking an Associate Director to join our established Sustainability and decarbonisation Advisory team, based in the London office.

The successful candidate will be part of our wider UK Sustainability group, leading in delivering a range of sustainability and net zero carbon services for several major public and private sector clients.

Our clients cover a range of building sectors, including public, commercial, domestic, industrial, and education. You will need to have experience managing and ensuring the delivery of complex projects, winning work, and developing new service offers.

What you'll do!

  • Creating new opportunities and leading tenders and proposals for new work.
  • Managing and delivering complex projects for a variety of clients and services.
  • Liaising directly with clients and designers to recommend sustainability measures to support the drive to decarbonisation and net zero.
  • Delegating and reviewing work produced by more junior staff.
  • Training and mentoring junior staff.
  • Leading the delivery of net zero carbon and whole life carbon reduction strategies for a wide range of clients.
  • Joining the broader AECOM sustainability practice, networking with colleagues, and engaging other internal project opportunities to ensure the team is in line with industry best in class.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what's possible?

Requirements:

  • Excellent client engagement experience and skills.
  • Ability to win work and build relationships with clients.
  • Experience and knowledge in whole life carbon and embodied carbon in buildings, BREEAM, WELL and LEED. Ideally, the candidate will be WELL AP and LEED AP.
  • Excellent knowledge of the building design and construction process.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and take line management duties.
  • A demonstrable passion and enthusiasm for environmental sustainability.
  • Some knowledge of regenerative design principles would be beneficial.
