Associate Director - Sheffield Valuation Team

The Role
The Valuation Business Line is a key part of the Sheffield office servicing a broad spectrum of client's corporate owners and occupiers, banks, investors, institutions and the public sector, across a wide geographical area to include Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and the North West.
We are looking to appoint an Associate Director who will contribute to and support the existing team in service delivery and business development, reporting directly to the team leader.
The role will require the successful candidate to deliver fee income commensurate with the role, undertaking a wide range of valuation work across the full spectrum of the commercial and residential property sectors, and ideally requires a working knowledge of various valuation software packages including Argus Developer and Argus Investor, although training is available.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the promotion and continuing development of a highly successful team with the potential to work within both the Leeds and Sheffield offices in response to the continuing growth of the team's turnover.
The successful candidate will be educated to a degree level, will a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with solid experience and ideally a Registered Valuer.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the delivery of a high quality service and delivery of the team's fee earning target,
- Executing valuation engagements with support from both junior and senior staff as required from instruction through to completion.
- Preparing standard reports, valuations, submissions and on more complex issues with guidance
- Taking responsibility for the delivery of larger assignments and the management of resources.
- Coaching/mentoring of others.
- Managing existing client relationships at middle to senior management level on a day-to-day basis
- Building and maintaining client relationships
- Identifying new business opportunities and effectively winning new business.
- Enhancing BNP Paribas Real Estate's reputation through successful delivery
- Evaluating, adapting and improving standards, techniques and procedures
- Working with managers and directors outside of the team in the achievement of our company vision and objectives.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level
- MRICS
- RICS Registered Valuer
- Preferred knowledge of Argus or other valuation software (training available)
