The Role

Assist in the management, supervised by the Director, Risk & Compliance, of IFM's risk and compliance programs and strategic initiatives, including:

  • Implementation and monitoring of the risk strategy, plans and policies
  • Providing advice on all regulatory matters impacting IFM Investors' business objectives
  • Initial, annual and ad hoc compliance and risk management training for existing staff
  • Management and liaising with regulators
  • Liaison with and management of external legal and internal audit providers
  • Meeting statutory and regulatory compliance requirements for IFM Investors managed products / clients
  • Assist in the management of the IFM Insurance program
  • Contributing to all other strategic projects as directed by the Director, Risk & Compliance
  • Supporting the delivery of risk governance within IFM Investors, including management and Board committees charged with overseeing risk and compliance matters
  • Working collaboratively with all key stakeholders (including the Executive Director and/ or Directors, Risk & Compliance)
  • Input and support across the global Risk & Compliance function
  • Liaising with and management of external service providers
  • Providing regulatory advice and analysis with regards to regulatory matters
  • Providing timely expert advice to the business on risk, legal and compliance-related matters
  • Co-ordinating and liaising with key internal stakeholders to successfully deliver risk and compliance projects within deadlines
  • Assisting in the development of the Risk & Compliance team members and the overall capability of the function.

Your Background and Experience

  • Significant related industry experience in compliance roles; typically.
  • 10 + years. This can include experience within legal and risk roles also.
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, economics, finance, or related field.
  • May have post-graduate qualifications.
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of the market and products offered or to be offered by IFM Investors.
