The position is part of the Moody's Global Sales and Customer Service Group.

This role is responsible for managing the full sales lifecycle process of a client account base and growing our existing client relationships into long-term strategic partnerships, as well as bringing on board new logos from the untapped market within the territory.

Responsibilities:
• Drive strategic engagement and commercial relationships in key customers.
• Identify, negotiate and deliver opportunities that benefit both the customers and Moody's.
• Deliver an enterprise proposition to customers that addresses their specific and strategic needs.
• Establish C-suite dialogue and relationships, connect more deeply into customer; bring knowledge, network into Moody's.
• Find new opportunities through strategic projects to scale against core customers.
• Build deep understanding of customer business, and ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction.
• Advocate for the customer within Moody's, and act as Moody's ambassador in customer's enterprise.
• Grow the customer base by approaching new prospective (white space) clients within the territory and bringing them on board as Moody's customers.
• Connect customer into Moody's: be the relationship leader and escalation point, who makes connections to address opportunities, resolve issues and lead the engagement.
• Build, lead, influence the wider Moody's team; know whom to engage, how to engage them to ensure delivery for customer.
• Leverage deep insight into the Banking and NBFI sectors to uncover opportunity and risk for customer and translate into strategic or tactical execution.
• Maintain a strong discipline with regards to building pipeline, forecasting, and reporting to management.
• Represent company at industry and company sponsored events, as required.
• Position requires travel.

Qualifications:
• Bachelors' degree in Finance, Economics or related area required.
• A Moody's employee at this level would typically have 7+ years' experience in a sales role within a software/services organization with a successful track record in sales, preferably selling to Financial Institutions.
• Understanding of how Financial Institutions leverage credit research, quantitative models and fundamental data to support a variety of risk assessment processes.
• Ability to sell on a needs/solutions approach.
• Ability to influence key decision makers during the full life cycle of the sales process.
• Experience in strategic selling / complex sales cycles.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills as well as outstanding client relationship management experience.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in-person and virtual.
• Ability to maintain momentum with clients on a remote basis through continued persistence and resilience.
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
• Ability to multi task and meet deadlines.
