Associate Investment Director - Real Assets Transactions
Location: London, King's Cross Estate
- Newly created Real Assets Investment role in our London office to support the continued growth of AustralianSuper's Portfolio
- Work across our UK & European Real Assets Portfolio, which includes interests in the King's Cross Estate & Canada Water
- Take on investment transaction responsibilities for new and existing investments.

Your Role: Join our dynamic team as an Associate Investment Director, where you'll play a pivotal role in our Real Assets Portfolio, comprising a combination of listed and unlisted direct equity investments within infrastructure and real estate across the UK and Europe. You will work collaboratively with senior colleagues with significant property investment experience and support them in investment strategy, origination and transaction management, and the execution of active asset management and development strategies. In this role, you will:
- Execute transactions, including commercial and technical negotiations.
- Conduct sector / markets research and analysis.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the strategy and business plan activities of operating companies and asset management and development partners.
- Actively analyse and manage investment performance.
- Undertake financial analysis and manage / maintain financial models.
- Support the Fund's Real Asset investment strategy, business planning, reporting and risk management.
This position is a regulated/certified FCA seat within the Fund, based on-site at London King's Cross Estate, one of the core assets of the Fund's global portfolio.
What You Need:
- Significant experience in real estate investment or asset management, corporate finance, or investment banking.
- Experience with complex and development transactions and projects.
- A passion for real estate and staying updated on market trends.
- Proficiency in a specialist property market; residential sector and/or mixed-use developments will be highly regarded.
- The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small team.
- A relevant degree in Finance/Economics/Property or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and commercial skills, financially literate, with attention to detail, able to manage people and deadlines.
- An understanding of ESG factors within the real assets space.
- Proficiency in a European language would be an advantage but not essential.
