We are seeking a multifaceted and experienced Project Manager to lead and supervise clinically focused projects, with a strong emphasis on product development and delivery. Experience with clinical software projects would be highly beneficial. This role is critical in ensuring timely, high-quality execution of projects that support clinical workflows and product innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical environments, healthcare technology, and the product lifecycle-from concept through to deployment-while managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
The Details...
In this role, the Project Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating the planning, execution, and successful delivery of clinically focused projects, with a strong emphasis on software and product development. This includes managing cross-functional teams, aligning project objectives with clinical and business needs, and ensuring that deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with healthcare regulations. The Project Manager will drive communication across stakeholders, proactively manage risks and resources, and lead all aspects and phases of the project lifecycle-from initial concept and requirements gathering through development, testing, and implementation.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Working under the mentorship of senior management to project manage product(s) under the defined product development process through to product launch and beyond.
- Build and maintain the project management documents and tools needed to successfully manage the project.
- Building productive partnerships with customers and their respective teams company wide.
- Ensuring that project achievements, results and resourcing requirements are clearly communicated to senior management.
- Ensuring project roles, responsibilities and accountabilities are clearly communicated, understood and agreed.
- Providing regular project updates to both the project team and senior management.
- Leading project exceptions in an effective manner to help ensure project achievements are not significantly impacted.
- Proposing solutions to project issues to senior management for review and agreement.
What We're Looking For...
- Educated to a MSc/PhD level in an Engineering/Scientific subject area (or equivalent experience)
- A shown level of experience in the project management of IVD device product development from initial development through to launch.
- Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO13485/CE marking.
- Knowledge of GAMP5, IEC62304 & ISO14971 would be highly desirable.
- Experience working collaboratively with a wide range of partner teams across the business including R&D led teams, quality and regulatory teams, operational teams (e.g. manufacturing, supply chain, logistics) and commercial teams (e.g. marketing, sales).
- Experience managing teams through long, sophisticated program implementations. Proven leadership skills and ability to lead and develop talent.
- Experience preparing and managing budgets, and excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Demonstrate strong business knowledge and effective collaboration abilities to address business needs in partnership with other partners and functions.
- The ability to take full accountability for delivery of complex and significant programs, from feasibility to manufacturing transfer, and commercialization.
- Build detailed implementation and risk mitigation plans in collaboration with functional leadership.
- Experience coordinating all internal program workstreams and functions, as well as external collaborations. Owning the delivery of sub-project milestones on schedule, scope, and budget.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment with little supervision
