Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Lead (Associate Director Grade) to join our busy and expanding, Bristol & South West based, Infrastructure-Defence team, who are undertaking a range of Controls & Performance duties on several high-profile Infrastructure Projects/Programmes. Additionally, this role will provide the opportunity to innovate, collaborate and learn from our experienced and award-winning Planning & Scheduling community and wider extensive Controls and Performance Network.

As the successful Associate Director you will be working in one of the Programme Controls Teams on one of our Commissions.

Under the direction of the Programme Director, you will manage the development, implementation, use and maintenance of Project Controls processes within the Programme or a subdivision thereof.

This will include oversight of day to day management, staffing, and the implementation of Integrated Project Controls standards and processes.

You will be responsible for the direction and co-ordination of all Project Controls activities associated with the design, manufacture, construction and commissioning of the Programme work scope within safety, quality, time and cost milestones.

You will be the key point of contact for all matters relating with Project Planning within the P3M South West Defence team, maintaining a strong service provision to our clients, and regularly feeding back updates to the Regional Discipline Lead

Qualifications

  • In-depth experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis.
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications, for example Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes Knowledge of engineering and construction management.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Project Controls & Planning with expertise in Earned Value Management, risk management and in the core aspects of the NEC Contract.
  • Candidates will ideally be degree qualified in a construction related subject.
