Associate Director, Performance Operations, Manchester
Performance Operations is currently seeking an Associate Director based out of our Manchester office.
Fitch's Performance Operations team is part of the Operations Group and this role supports the Structured Finance department around the world by providing the latest data from trustee reports. Fitch Ratings maintains periodic surveillance on over 1,500 European structured finance transactions.

We'll Count on You To:
The primary role of Associate Director is to provide data, technical and analytical support for Fitch's Structured Credit department as a member of the Manchester-based Performance Operations team.
Key Performance Objectives:
- Creating and maintaining web crawlers for report sourcing
- Managing collection of periodic surveillance data to deadline
- Validation of the captured surveillance data
- Maintaining and updating existing VBA to ensure continued functionality, as well as developing new features and functions to enhance capabilities
- Analytical support - highlighting potential performance concerns to ratings' analysts
Core responsibilities will include:
- Managing the collection of reports and processing surveillance data from external sources
- Collection and maintenance of data imported via bespoke tools written in VBA
- Validating data through the complete workflow cycle
- Mapping/Consolidating loans and bonds traded in CLO portfolios
- Building working relationships with ratings' analysts to review and maintain the data
- Monitoring email inboxes and storing reports
- Writing and updating all process documentation
What You Need to Have:
- This is a demanding and exciting role so we are looking for highly motivated candidates with strong work ethic.
- Candidates will be highly numerate and analytical, with knowledge in Excel, VBA, and SQL
- The role involves close interaction with Fitch colleagues in offices around the world, it also involves interaction with external parties (trustees and servicers) across multiple locations so excellent communication skills and a cooperative attitude are essential.
- Diligence, attention to detail and logical thinking will be key skills of a successful candidate.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Prior experience and understanding of the workings and development of the securitisation markets and knowledge of structured products (e.g. RMBS, CMBS, ABS, CDO)
- Ability to solve problems using critical, rational and creative thinking
- An interest and aptitude for the application of information technology to improving systems
- A desire for continued professional development whilst in the position
