Job Description

The Associate Director is responsible for a share of successful networking and business development, planning and delivery of operating model projects, contributing to OTM solution improvements and brand assets.

Business development and business winning includes reaching out, representing OTM at events, qualifying of leads, proposal writing and contract winning. Project delivery includes high impact facilitation of the OTM organisation design solution with both a technical and social solution.

As an Associate Director your key responsibilities include:
T&T's OTM team is searching for talented, exceptional, and experienced Operating Model practitioner to successfully carry out the following key responsibilities. At a minimum, the ideal candidate(s) must bring:

  • Both theoretical and practical working knowledge and experience in organisation design and delivering proactive change work using a variety of methods (not limited to only traditional change management).
  • Skilled in fundamental process consultation & facilitation practices using various collaborative methodologies (e.g. Whole Scale Change, Participative Design, Open Space Technology, ICA TOP Methods etc).
  • Have some experience of successful business development and business winning including conducting marketing and business generation activities such as writing bids, and articles, delivering webinars, podcasts, presentations, and content in our field.
  • Be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally with minimal constraint up to two weeks per month on average. Ideal candidate is someone who has worked internationally and has experience in more than one industry & market.
  • Passionate about supporting clients to achieve real results through op model and org design work.
  • Consulting experience at a senior level to engage senior clients with superb service excellence mindset.

Qualifications

Experience, qualifications & requirements

  • Relevant industry experience in a consulting or in-house practitioner.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering organisation design solutions. This must cover an end-to-end- operating model, beyond job design and changing organisation charts.
  • Demonstrated experience in (large) group facilitation.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing relationships and managing multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Able to travel, including both domestic and international
  • Must successfully complete a civil and criminal background check and a three-month probation period.
  • Favourable: certified in the recognised Certification Organisation Design Professional (CODP).
  • Successful consulting experience with awareness and working knowledge of contracting, good commercial acumen.
  • Team leadership and development to support a growing team.

Behavioural Characteristics

  • Self-starter, autonomous, reliable, comfortable working virtually and collaboratively.
  • Strong belief in the collaborative approach to change based on the adage "people support what they help create"
  • Practical knowledge of business and business models. Able to conduct relevant conversations with C-Level executives and staff at all levels, without getting entangled in consultant or management jargon.
  • Able to describe and differentiate between the three core consulting roles of Doctor, Expert and Process. Can act competently in all three knowing which to use in a given situation.
  • Ability to build strong customer & team relationships maintaining them over time.
  • Executive presence. Confident working with Boards, Executives Directors and Senior Management teams as well as front-line staff.
  • High motivation to strengthen and add to your understanding of organisation design.

Technical Characteristics

  • Strong technical skills including MS Office suite (including exceptional Excel skills), MS365 environment, Project management, and CRM products.
  • Strong command of the English language including speaking, reading, & writing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated competence using online collaborative tools like Mural & Miro.
  • Demonstrated simple and logically structured documentation - with ability to translate and filter key highlights from deep debrief group sessions into a clear and concise narrative.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership skills.
