Essential criteria
- Current RMN or RNLD Nursing
- Post graduate qualification in leadership and management or equivalent portfolio of experience
- Masters degree in relevant subject
- Post graduate qualification in specialist nursing practice or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- Managerial / Teaching Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Extensive senior clinical management/professional leadership experience in a large complex NHS organisation
- Evidence of success in the management of change in a multi-agency context
- Evidence of delivering high quality service
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and knowledge of methods to develop culturally sensitive clinical practice
- Experience of managing organisation-wide programmes of quality/risk/service improvement
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of national presentations and publications
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Advance knowledge of priorities in Health Care, quality and current clinical/professional issues and understanding of National Strategies and their application for Nursing and Therapies.
