My client in London is looking for an Associate Director to join their Planning team in Central London. Their expertise spans across residential, commercial, and public sector projects, where the team work closely with clients to navigate the complexities of planning regulations and deliver successful outcomes. Responsibilities:

  • Planning Applications: Prepare and manage planning applications, including conducting site appraisals, feasibility studies, and impact assessments.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary contact for clients, providing expert advice on planning policies, strategies, and development opportunities.
  • Project Management: Oversee planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
  • Policy Analysis: Analyse and interpret planning policies, regulations, and guidelines to inform project strategies and recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with local authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and foster positive relationships.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior planners and support their professional development through guidance and training.

You will need:

  • Great academics
  • MRTPI
  • 6-10 years professional experience working in a planning consultancy
  • A genuine passion for planning
  • Driven, ambitious, commercial, and great at building/maintaining relationships
