Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the submission of first-class documents to our customers on time and to the correct scope and desired quality
  • Uphold business processes and systems, ensuring they are adhered to by the team under your control
  • Streamline the operation and drive business improvement initiatives
  • Cultivate client relationships and deliver repeat business with existing clients
  • Manage the team and make necessary decisions to meet operational outputs
  • Maintain and uphold quality standards
  • Manage competing priorities to ensure all client commitments are met
  • Effectively manage client relationships and act as escalation point
  • Support operational delivery team to meet financial targets set
  • Ensure team are working to Soben standards and processes, taking corrective action where required
  • Ensure consistent approach to service delivery across team
  • Work with delivery team to improve performance
  • Be at the forefront of continuous improvement and identify areas of the operation that can be streamlined and improved
  • Use initiative to identify areas of risk and implement measures to correct
  • Conduct final Director reviews on projects and take accountability for sign off
  • Actively influence the resource programme to ensure all client commitments are met
  • Take responsibility for L&D and management of internal CPD delivery
  • Be responsible for the successful onboarding and training of new team members
  • Report on team performance monthly and ensure accuracy of data
  • Lead projects when required and provide cover during annual leave
  • Liaise with wider Operational delivery team to maximise opportunities
  • Prepare fees and negotiate with clients, when required
  • Provide support to direct reports and Operations team where required
  • Provide support to Operations Director EMEA
  • On time delivery of agreed Objectives and Key Results
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications/ Relevant Experience

  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • MRICS (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 10 years post graduate experience
  • Pre-construction experience
  • BOQ
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills - Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Driven, enthusiastic and committed to continued professional development
  • Able to form and build good client relationships
  • Ensure client care is upheld at all times
  • Analytical, commercially aware and fantastic attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines and excellent time management skills
  • Well organised with clarity of thought
  • Ability to form constructive and positive relationships with clients and peers
  • Ability to manage and inspire direct reports to perform to company and client standards
