Our client is seeking an Associate Director of Electrical Engineering to drive the delivery of ambitious programmes that shape the future of critical UK infrastructure. As Associate Director, you will take a leading role in guiding electrical engineering design from concept to completion. You will be responsible for setting technical direction, managing resources and budgets, and ensuring that all outputs meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Alongside delivering major programmes, you will play a central role in developing the practice's electrical engineering capability, supporting and inspiring teams to reach their full potential. The scope of work spans sectors as varied as water, aviation, defence, energy, cities and education, providing a career that is both challenging and rewarding.
Candidates will be Chartered or Fellow Electrical Engineers with demonstrable leadership experience on complex, multidisciplinary projects. A strong grounding in the water sector is expected, together with proven technical expertise across LV and HV systems, switchgear, installations, safety assessments and UK design standards. Success in this role depends not only on technical excellence, but also on the ability to nurture client relationships, motivate teams and deliver value across every stage of the project lifecycle.
