Associate Director - Economic Analysis and Evaluation - FTC

Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM's current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

At the heart of Consulting are the six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Specific Duties:

  • Completing economic evaluation and analysis work to support existing projects underway for existing public Sector Departments and Authorities.
  • Managing new projects won over the course of this initial period. Developing detailed project plans; setting out tasks and allocating them to team members and reviewing performance and progress.
  • Reporting progress to clients on new projects.
  • Being part of proposal teams to help write robust evaluation submissions to client specifications, timelines and budgets.
  • Reviewing and giving feedback on proposals submitted by other colleagues across RSM - SEP.
  • Identifying tender opportunities that the team stand a strong chance of winning and preparing bids.
  • Building a track record to show that this position is sustainable in the medium to longer term - based on expected utilisation/recoveries and new wins.
  • Requirements:

    Experience

    • Significant track record in delivering economic analysis and evaluation work
    • Deep knowledge of Public Sector Evaluation requirements- Magenta, Aqua and Green Books
    • Knowledge of public sector report requirements for evaluation work.
    • Track record in delivering evaluation/economic work for Government Departments, in particular Quasi Experimental Design and ideally RCTs
    • Knowledgeable on publicly available data sets that are available to support evaluation work for public sector Departments.
    • Able to demonstrate the ability to deliver projects to budgets, timescales and the quality required by clients.
    • Able to adapt to different working environments.

    Skills/ Expertise

    • Excellent research skills and expertise.
    • Excellent report writing skills.
    • Ability to work well with others and to communicate effectively.
    • Able to show leadership to team members on economic evaluation and analysis technical issues.
    • Strong project management capabilities.
    • Must be able to demonstrate during the 3 months that they are able to write robust proposals in a timely manner.
    • Open to receiving and actioning feedback.
