Associate Director Early Years and School Effectiveness

About the role

Kingston and Richmond have 112 schools across nursery, primary, secondary and special sectors, and we are very proud of the quality of education provision, education outcomes and our positive relationship with school leaders and the early years sector. This role oversees all school improvement activity for Kingston and Richmond schools, the Early Years Service, and is a senior leader in the Education Services Directorate.

The role will include:

  • Provide leadership of AfC's school improvement and early years services, working closely alongside the Director for Education Services
  • Manage the team of Senior Education Advisers that act as the main point of contact with all Kingston and Richmond schools
  • Provide support and challenge to senior leaders to aid them in raising standards and improving provision
  • Support the Early Years and Childcare Service to ensure sufficiency of childcare provision and effective support for providers
  • Ensuring that all of our schools and early years providers are competent and confident to deliver high quality inclusive provision for all children who have SEND and may need additional support

The right candidate must:

  • Be experienced in managing teams, coaching and motivating colleagues to do their very best
