Job Description

Due to growing demand for our natural Resources Digital Advisory services, we are seeking to recruit an Associate Director to assist with the development of our client portfolio and the delivery of our services. The role will require global travel to client sites.

We are looking for a natural leader with strong consulting & sector-specific experience and a willingness to deliver on a variety of engagements, across the globe.

An ability to operate independently, lead teams of high performing consultants and manage challenging stakeholders in the energy, mining, chemicals and renewables industries will be key to success.

The Role

As part of the role you will:

  • Have a very strong consulting background interfacing with clients and technical teams
  • Lead client engagements, delivery strategy and provide technical delivery and assurance of projects
  • Design, develop and lead customer facing projects that include complex technical input both from the client and our own teams.
  • Understand the need for high quality consulting input in challenging client circumstances
  • Lead and contribute to business development activities, proposal writing and initial client engagements
  • Identify and establish new relationships, whilst maintaining and developing existing relationships both with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Provide support and collaboration in multidisciplinary delivery environments
  • Produce high-quality communications, documentation, and presentations
  • Be a champion for innovation and growth actively mentoring and demonstrating an inclusive culture
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of T&Ts documentation and processes taking knowledge or experience and translate into new ideas or solutions
  • Be globally mobile, willing and able to deploy to client sites for extended periods

Qualifications

Skills required for this role are:

  • A strong understanding of Energy, Mining or Chemicals/Manufacturing markets
  • A strong understanding of how digital solutions drive value for clients in these industries; particularly in the capital project & asset management space
  • Proven track record of leading client engagements including structuring, organizing and driving delivery from the start of an engagement
  • An understanding of how to equate specific solutions to client benefit; either financial or otherwise.
  • High emotional intelligence with a good understanding of how to influence without authority
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal - able to translate complex technical subject matter into easily understood presentations and written documentation for mixed technical audiences.

Desirable skills include:

  • Employed experience in Energy, Mining or other Natural Resources industries.
  • Experience translating designs of data solutions into action
  • Experience in collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams, including software engineers, DevOps and infrastructure teams, data scientists etc.
  • Experience in Digital Twin and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions
  • Prior line management experience
