Deloitte Legal is growing its Legal Management Consulting business and is looking to hire an Associate Director with previous consulting experience to be part of a team delivering high-quality consultative services in a dynamic and growing marketplace. You will play an important role as part of a growing team developing and delivering best in class consultancy services in a dynamic environment. Assignments will cover the full spectrum of the legal market, with your primary focus on the strategic review, transformation, and operational improvement of legal departments. Client projects will be challenging and complex; you will lead multi-disciplinary teams and help to develop client relationships and go to market strategy.

This is a unique opportunity for you to join the team as it starts to expand and help us position Deloitte Legal Management Consulting as the clear market leader.

• Primarily focusing on the delivery of strategy, transformation and operational improvement projects to fulfil and exceed client expectations.
• Leading projects or workstreams as part of larger programmes you will deliver operational redesign and transformation projects to major clients and build our expertise this area.
• Playing an important role within the sales process, helping to develop new business opportunities and client relationships as well as sell on within existing client environments as part of your role in overseeing the delivery of projects
• Managing the performance and development of more junior staff and leading diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
• Helping to expand and improve our service offering focused on legal department efficiency, ranging from operating model review and redesign through to transformation and outsourcing

Connect to your skills and professional experience

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams including clients and suppliers as well as colleagues
• Excellent written and verbal communication allied with strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills and the ability to adjust style and approach for different audiences
• High-level of proficiency with MS Office and expertise in the analysis and presentation of data
• Proven line management and team leadership skills and experience of successfully training and developing team members
• Very strong programme and change management skills and proven experience of successfully managing project resourcing and budget and profitability
• Good strategic understanding of the legal market and its future development with ideas for client offerings or internal improvements and experience of bringing new services and improvements to market
• A flexible, can-do approach and positive mind-set. You enjoy leading and working as part of diverse teams to overcome challenges and exceed client expectations
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail with the proven ability to maintain professional standards in the face of challenging deadlines
• Professional manner and high level of personal accountability allied with high standards of client care, confidentiality and integrity

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
