About the role
This opportunity provides a role for an Associate Director level candidate to join our London Technical Due Diligence team undertaking a wide range of commercially focused, professional building consultancy work for a variety of investor and corporate occupier clients within the UK and across EMEA ranging from single assets to large portfolios and platform deals.
Practice areas that are expected of the candidate include technical due diligence for investment and occupier purposes, dilapidations for both landlord and tenants, contract administration, refurbishment works and maintenance advice (PPMs).
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will lead the successful implementation and delivery of professional building consultancy advice to a diverse range of clients, specializing in technical due diligence and general building surveying. This includes taking responsibility for managing client relationships and project teams to ensure all building surveying instructions are delivered profitably and on time. You will also play a crucial role in collaborating with other CBRE colleagues and departments to cultivate relationships and expand business opportunities.
Your project portfolio will be comprehensive, encompassing, but not limited to:
- Conducting building surveys for investment or occupational purposes.
- Performing detailed defect analysis and providing commercial advice to clients.
- Preparing and negotiating Schedules of Dilapidations on behalf of both landlords and tenants.
- Developing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Serving as Lead Consultant and undertaking Contract Administration roles.
A core aspect of this role is to continually seek opportunities to bring and build value, consistently delivering client solutions that surpass expectations. You will positively contribute to the team and department's business plan, actively assisting in achieving its objectives, and have the ability to build and manage project teams with the appropriate mix of experience, skills, and commercial acumen. Throughout all activities, you will ensure full compliance with CBRE's policies, management systems, and Quality Management procedures.
Person Specification
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a minimum of three years of relevant post-qualification experience as an MRICS qualified surveyor. The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver complex projects.

Furthermore, a driving license is essential, and the role requires a willingness to travel throughout the UK and across EMEA as needed.
