Account Manager (Sales) - Associate Director Level

Fitch Solutions is currently seeking an Account Manager based out of our London office.

This pivotal sales position involves overseeing the commercial partnerships with key financial entities within the France, Benelux, Ireland area. The role entails some travel obligations. The successful candidate will be tasked with promoting an array of products and services offered by Fitch Solutions such as: Fitch Credit Ratings, Credit Research, Fundamental Financial Data & Analytics, Country Risk, Industry Research & Geopolitical Risk from BMI and ESG Products from Sustainable Fitch.

We'll Count on You To:

  • Manage your own book of business: Develop and grow existing client accounts by identifying opportunities to increase spend with cross-sells/upsells, deepen relationships and deliver exceptional value to clients
  • Achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets by effectively managing your sales pipeline, develop strategic sales plans and implementing tactical initiatives
  • Set up and develop long-lasting client relationships to become a strategic partner to your clients by understanding their workflows and position in the market
  • Become a subject matter expert both in the industries you cover and the solutions Fitch has to offer to our clients
  • Grow the Fitch Solutions business by persuading and negotiating effectively across the territories
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to support your client's needs

What You Need to Have:

  • Self-starter with ability to build his/her own pipeline from day one
  • Highly independent, self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Resilient and adaptable with a positive attitude and a keen desire to learn and grow
  • Ability to negotiate as well as articulate product value proposition and competitive advantage
  • Proven track record in managing client relationships, developing business and growing revenue streams
  • Sales experience within the broader financial market (e.g. fixed income, risk management), leading to a network in France, Benelux, or Ireland area.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in both written and verbal forms of French (or Dutch) and English are essential

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Self-motivated and able to generate ideas and demonstrate initiative, tenacity and perseverance
  • Understand credit risk management processes and know regulatory guidelines that require the use of credit ratings
  • Good knowledge of the Credit Risk workflow (risk management requirements in strategic decision making, risk identification, risk quantification /quantitative modelling processes, regulatory requirements)
