Job title: Associate Creative Director
Reports to: Creative Director
Responsible for: Junior Creative(s)

Summary:
Deliver (and support the delivery) of outstanding video game advertising content (trailers, cinematics, TV spots, artwork and social). Help steer the creative vision of our projects, ensuring creative excellence at all stages.
Help to develop Maverick's long-term creative vision and inspire others to play their part in achieving that.
As part of Maverick's leadership, help to steer the department in a sustainable, efficient and positive way - both inside and outside of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Take our clients marketing and communications needs and translate these into creative strategies that achieve business missions and objectives.
- Get immersed in IP's, our clients and their briefs and the Maverick creative treatments across multiple simultaneous projects.
- Oversee the wider creative team on assigned projects - delegating, organising and leading.
- Direct assigned creative briefs through development and production to delivery ensuring our work is produced on-brief, on-time and with creative merit.
- 'Own' the quality of creative output on projects with the Creative Directors.
- Alongside Creative Directors act as a creative excellence gatekeeper- great attention to detail and always pushing for highest quality creative.
- Research and stay up to date, particularly with social platforms, finding new, inventive ways to engage audiences online.
- Where possible, add creative consultancy, insight, ideation and practical support to creative or strategic opportunities.
- Communicate to the creative and production teams approximate timescales for development.
Requirements
Targets/Objectives:
- Creative work meets (and exceeds) client expectations i.e., is "on-brief."
- Add value to / help develop existing client relationship by expanding our offerings to include social media ideation and execution.
- Recruitment of new talent and new creative suppliers to projects.
- Where possible, aid in the acquisition of new clients, or add value to new client relationships by expanding our creative offerings to include social media ideation and execution.
- High level of attention to detail and standards on all elements of work from documentation to project delivery. Keen eye for spotting errors and inconsistencies.
- Know when to delegate and guide others - not always hands on.
- Support more junior members of the team.
- Find, qualify and develop a list of specialist freelancers who are able to support on the creative delivery of projects and build capacity in the area of social and technology.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Significant knowledge of each step of the trailer/promo production process.
- Ability to manage high value, highly visible single client account.
- Hands on design, editing, animation skills.
- Oversight of both internal / external resources throughout the creative / design / delivery process.
- Ability to lead, manage, mentor and motivate creatives and staff generally.
- Ability to take, ideate and respond to multiple briefs at all stages (pitch through to post-production).
- Ability to delegate.
- Well organised with experience in media admin / management and quality control.
- Great creative problem solver - thinks outside of the box.
