Assistant Team Manager | 7581 | permanent contract | 37 hours per week | up to £46,732 per annum (dependent on experience) | Grade K | King's Lynn

About us:

Marshfields is a short break home which provides emergency and time limited specialist care for young people of either gender aged between 5-17 years with complex needs, where either family, foster care, or other community-based placements are not possible or desirable at the time.

The role:

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Team Manager to join us. You will be responsible for:

  • Engaging in the effective delivery of residential childcare utilising specialist knowledge for appropriate interventions, needs assessments and care planning.
  • Creating a positive environment for each young person to flourish with particular regard to their safety, health and education and diverse needs.
  • Carrying out high quality assessments, use child centred and multi-agency interventions to bring about positive change through developing effective relationships, and secure the best outcomes for children and young people.
  • Sharing professional knowledge, theory and practice with colleagues.
  • Strengthening the relationships between children, young people and families wherever possible and appropriate
  • Delivering residential childcare in accordance with Ofsted's Social Care Inspection Framework.
  • Maintaining good professional practice within the homes in accordance with Departmental Standards, working as part of a team to achieve good outcomes for children and young people.

You will have:

  • Have aLevel 5 Children and Young People Residential Diploma (and ideally a Qualified and Registered Social Worker) alternatively you will be a qualified Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse.
  • Substantial knowledge of Signs of Safety, Safeguarding and relevant Childrens homes legislations and regulations.
  • The ability to be a good leader and motivate staff
  • A full driving licence and access to a car (please see full details in attached job description and person specification)
