This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Senior Social Worker to join Bridgend Community Mental Health Team as an Assistant Team Manager.

The Community Mental Health Team is a multi-disciplinary health and social care team offering a service for adults with a severe and enduring mental illness and possible co-occurring issues covering the Borough of Bridgend.

The role involves assisting the Service Manager in the management and co-ordination of the work of the social workers in the Community Mental Health Team providing quality supervision and the professional oversight of social work practitioners. You will participate in the wider management of the team, as well as being part of the wider local authority leadership team, ensuring there are strong links with the local authority.

This role is to ensure the delivery of outstanding social work practice by leading and promoting the highest level of practice skills and developments, through the ability to inspire and mentor the team with a clear focus on delivering our 'Strengths-Based Model of Practice-Working to Achieve Outcomes'. You will work alongside the Service Manager and relevant health colleagues to develop and ensure an efficient and effective service, in line with current policies, best practice, legislation, procedures and systems.

Ideally you will have completed the AMHP training. If not, you will be expected to do so. As an AMHP, you will work alongside the AMHP Service, to provide a quality experience for those who are in mental distress
