Who are RW Armstrong:

RW Armstrong is a family business with over 65 years' experience working on some of the finest properties in the South of England. You will be joining a highly experienced and close-knit team to complete large scale projects of high value and complexity, from contemporary new builds to period refurbishments. No two of our projects are the same and you will be given the opportunity for continual challenge and growth. Your role will be split between our Blandford office and site, as required by the project team.

What will you be doing:

  • Working collaboratively within a team under the guidance of the Contracts Manager (CM) and Site Manager (SM) to deliver projects of up to £4.8 million to the highest standards.
  • Contributing to enhancing customer experience and satisfaction while reflecting the company's ethos in all professional duties
  • Planning and coordinating daily and weekly activities, including resource and labour allocation, aligned with project information and construction schedules.
  • Sharing, monitoring, and reviewing all planning and programming with relevant team members.
  • Managing the team in line with HR policies and company values.
  • Overseeing all on-site activities related to the project.
  • Planning and managing projects with financial efficiency in mind, considering activity sequencing and resource utilization.
  • Accurately completing all administration supporting financial tracking.
  • Clearly explaining workmanship expectations to the team.
  • Implementing strategies to monitor quality and uphold high standards.
  • Following company processes for work sign-off and completion.
  • Understanding relevant SHE legislation for statutory compliance.
  • Identifying risks and managing potential hazards using company procedures.
  • Establishing a site safety culture and ensuring regular documentation completion.
  • Producing, updating, collating, and storing all relevant project information in line with company policy, procedure, and legislation.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrating excellent trade skills alongside supervisory responsibilities.
  • Organising building works to minimize client disruption.
  • Exhibiting excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Working towards SMSTS Certificate.
