An exciting role for an aspiring junior service manager-

The post holder will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties to support the clinical and management team on a strategic and operational basis. They will be instrumental in the smooth running of the service/group, working autonomously and leading the department in its operational demands.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Educated to degree level OR equivalent experience.
  • Track Record of significant continuous professional and management development

Desirable criteria

  • Project management qualification
  • Knowledge of healthcare provisions

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of staff supervision and staff management.
  • Experience of managing the delivery of an effective service
  • Evidence of introducing and supporting change processes
  • Evidence of addressing 1st line conduct and performance concerns
  • Evidence of managing rotas & operational pressures

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working in an acute or challenging environment
  • Evidence of establishing, maintaining and consolidating effective working relationships with clinicians and or multidisciplinary teams

Knowledge & Skills

Essential criteria

  • Leadership and influencing skills
  • High level of communication skills
  • Highly motivated and ability to work independently
  • To be able to work within a large MDT team and communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft office software.

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of Health Roster, iPM, ICE, Viper, Extramed and MediViewer OR ability to learn quickly and effectively.
