Person specification

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent
  • Relevant training or experience in quality management.
  • Knowledge of the NHS or other healthcare system(s)
  • Knowledge of governance processes e.g. incident management & risk assessment.

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of clinical aspects of Stem Cell Transplant or Cellular Therapies
  • Familiar and competent with research methodology and clinical audit
  • Q-Pulse Administration

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of supporting internal and external audits
  • Experience of supporting education, development and training
  • Experience in compiling and implementing policies and procedures that support service improvement.

Desirable criteria

  • A good working knowledge and understanding of the HTA tissues and cells regulations
  • A good working knowledge of regulatory requirements that specifically apply to the starting material and for cellular therapy products and/or ATMPs and the final products.
  • Experience in a regulated healthcare setting, at least 1 year of which has been in a quality or project management capacity

  • Able to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Able to work collaboratively and effectively with others at all levels
  • Good problem solving and time management skills
  • Able to collate and analyse complex information and produce reports and presentations for a wide variety of audiences
  • Proficient in the use of IT, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, internet and email.

Communication

Essential criteria

  • Good communication Skills (verbal, non-verbal and written).
  • Able to negotiate and persuade staff and colleagues at different levels

Personal and People Development

Essential criteria

  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development
  • Able to organise, multi-disciplinary workshops and training events
