About our Maritime business:

Our Maritime team are at the forefront of innovative maritime planning, design, and development. We are multi-disciplinary experts that work on international projects to create successful ports and maritime infrastructure worldwide. We have provided expert commercial, technical and operational advice and created master plans across the five continents for a wide range of port projects.

We are one of the largest and most experienced teams of port planning professionals globally and we are world leaders in the production of port feasibility studies and master plans. From our Maritime offices in Exeter, Newcastle, Liverpool, London, and Brighton, we lead all the company's shipyard projects collaborating with colleagues globally!
Job Role:

We are seeking an early career project manager, who is enthusiastic, optimistic, conscientious and talented person with excellent communication skills and technical ability in relation to project management in the engineering consultancy sector.

In this early career role you will assist with the delivery of engineering projects by managing time, money and contractual elements of projects and ensuring successful completion.

Your role will involve working with our senior project managers and technical specialists in our Maritime UK Advisory Group to help ensure that projects are managed appropriately in relation to scope, budget and programme. This will involve working across multi-disciplinary teams within Royal HaskoningDHV and also with subcontractors and clients.
This role might be right for you if you have:

  • Experience in project management in the engineering, construction or water industry sectors
  • An appreciation of engineering consultancy projects
  • Robust financial management skills
  • Experience in using MS Project or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Experience in managing whole or part of engineering consultancy projects would be an advantage
  • Experience in managing small projects or contracts would be an advantage
  • Formal training in project management or qualifications would be an advantage
