Responsibilities

You will be central to the highly collaborative Service South team; based across Basingstoke and Guilford office primarily.

Your role will be at the heart of our high performing team, using your skills and expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency; whilst supporting the teams senior engineers in their day to day project management activities.

Your role will include:

  • Coordination between various project team members ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the agreed quality standard with the correct resource requirements.
  • Developing and contributing to project management plans including project scope, baseline programme, fee estimate, roles and responsibilities, technical review requirements and managing progress meetings, producing weekly/monthly reports, taking minutes and preparing agenda's, this is to focus on where it has an impact on financial performance.
  • Producing project control reports for the internal team to meet client and business requirements.
  • Producing financial reports for the internal team to meet client and business requirements.
  • Assist the wider team and lead Project Managers in ensuring invoicing, cash collection and Monthly Project Reviews are undertaken in accordance with business process and procedures.
  • Assistance to the team to setup prospects / opportunities, and manage the project conversion process once successful. This will include developing the work breakdown structure in Task 99 and applying time and cost limits to particular task orders.
  • Participating in tender bids and business development opportunities as they arise and supporting governance processes and management activities such as baseline programmes, fee estimates, work break down structures and cash draw downs.
  • Prioritising client satisfaction through building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, whilst forming trusting relationships with colleagues to ensure effective co-ordination for mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Developing relationships with other WSP teams to utilise additional resources as required, and to help manage any potential cross selling opportunities.
  • Assistance with the setup of new Clients and Suppliers on Horizon and liaison with the procurement team to manage the process.
  • Assist the wider team and lead Project Managers in ensuring projects adhere to relevant governance and controls to meet client and business requirements. Periodic assistance to complete audit compliance checks against the standard questions that are raised by internal auditors for compliance with the BMS.
  • Assisting the wider team to manage contract budgets and costs to complete.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working within the services sector in either project management and/or business administration and financial planning.
  • Experience in managing a range of project management activities, systems (including enterprise resource planning) and processes
  • A good understanding of commercial and financial project management.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisation and communication skills.
  • Recent, demonstrable experience in managing technical projects within property and buildings
