About The Role

Currie & Brown is looking for a Assistant Project Manager with energy, utilities or defence experience to join our Bristol based infrastructure team.

Roles at this level will manage small scale projects or support the project lead deliver medium or large scale projects. Project managers are responsible for delivering their scope of work in line with budgetary, compliance, regulatory and planning controls, and require sound technical knowledge and project management experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within established project objectives to produce plans, schedules and reporting requirements
  • Responsible for delivery of small projects or assist deliver medium and large scale projects, reporting to the project lead
  • Identify project risks or issues and propose mitigation options to the project lead to ensure the project is not adversely impacted
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the project programme(s)
  • Prepare project management scope deliverables
  • Manage change control
  • Manage and monitor project processes and procedures
  • Interact effectively across all project parties
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, consultants and contractors
  • Responsible for the delivery of timely and accurate project data collection, analysis and reports
  • Use own knowledge and industry experience to assist in the management of project consultants and contractors
  • Assist the project lead on any project requirements or priorities
  • Construction management support on site

Skills, experience & qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Attainment or near attainment of a relevant project management professional certification
  • Previous experience delivering built asset projects
  • Good communication skills including the ability to liaise with peers and senior colleagues
  • Ability to manage relationships with external stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen and organisational understanding
  • Logical approach and ability to think through complex issues
  • Manage and coordinate aspects of the project
  • Collaboration and teamwork
  • Proficient in using relevant project management software's and systems
