Your future, as a Assistant Practice Manager at mydentist
You'll be joining our MyDentist, Stevenson Square Practice in the heart of the Northern Quarter in Manchester.
The role is permanent and full time (40 hours) and salary is £28,000+
- An excellent location, just a ten-minute walk from both Piccadilly and Victoria Station, car parking within 2 minutes of the practice with plenty of amenities nearby
- Modern 10 Surgery Practice with state-of-the-art equipment including Trios IOS & OPG/CBCT digital radiography.
- Support of a dedicated and established nurse-trained practice manager with 10yrs+ dental practice management experience.
- Large support team including Head Nurse, Infection Control Lead, Reception Team & Treatment Co-Ordinators.
- The practice offers a wide range of private treatments such as Implants, Teeth Straightening with fixed Orthodontics & Clear Aligners, Endodontics, Periodontics, Hygiene Services, Composite Bonding, Facial Aesthetics & a variety of different teeth whitening systems.

Your future, your role
As an Assistant Practice Manager, you'll be:
- Drive & Motivate to support PM in running large dental practice.
- Building and nurture great working relationships with the practice teams, offering support & guidance to create an efficiently run practice.
- Support with recruitment of team members and clinicians to fill vacancies in a timely manner.
- Support of the team undergoing professional qualifications and CPD
- Support with training and induction of new team members.
- Review & complete staffing rotas
- Support Head Receptionist & Reception Team with the smooth running of reception
- Lead a Team & ensure compliance with all MyDentist Expectations, Policies & Procedures.
- Hold individual staff meetings to identify and support with training needs and support with development of team.
- Must be able to give constructive feedback and develop team.
- Support with aspects of Money Management within the Practice.
- Support Practice Team with CQC & MyDentist Compliance Standards to meet quality assurance & regulatory standards.
- Respond to and support diffuse Patient Complaints.
- Support with delivery of Practice EBITDA
- Support with Monthly Action Plans with PM
- Support with the delivery of key performance indictors.
- Manage Practice P&L costs
Person Specification
- Excellent Interpersonal skills to manage relationships
- Good Organisational Skills
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Work collaboratively with PM
- Able to demonstrate the ability to lead a team, coach & develop
- Ability to deal with difficult situations around staff performance
- Flexible to work hours needed by the business and the PM
- Demonstrate positive attitude advocating & championing change
- Experience of working in a dental or healthcare sector environment would be preferential
