Contracted: 40 hours, 5 out of 7 to suit business needs, 8.00 am- 4.00 pm
Salary: £ 32,000 - £ 35,000 per year depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Operations Manager for Bristol Airport, and we are looking to hear from candidates who are positive, have a can-do attitude and have ambition to grow.
The Role
As an Assistant Operations Manager, you will be at the forefront of our contract site, ensuring smooth, efficient operations and top-quality service delivery. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to support and lead our on-site teams, ensuring a high standard of service for our clients and maintaining a productive, motivated team environment. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a can-do attitude and a keen interest in developing a career in operations management.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operational tasks, from managing staff schedules and performance evaluations to maintaining client satisfaction through consistent quality checks. You will conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with Sasse standards and work to keep all staff documentation up-to-date, following Health & Safety policies and digital reporting requirements. You'll support the team in navigating daily challenges, foster a positive team atmosphere, and encourage open communication across the board.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage operations for Sassestaff at Bristol Airport; responsible for evaluating, motivating and monitoringtheir performance.
- Manage staff relations,including schedules, disciplinary/grievance (in coordination with OperationsManager and any other issues regarding staff).
- Ensure Sasse quality standards are met through regular audits and inspections.
- Ensure staff documentation is up-to-date and currentas per Sasse standards.
- Assist the operations manager to comply with currentHealth & Safety Regulations, Policies including lawful Insurance provision.
- Ensure that day to day digital processes are followedby staff.
- Manage and liaise on Stock Control of consumables,machinery, and other necessary equipment at sites under the responsibility ofthe Assistant Operations Manager.
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK car (B category) driving licence.
- Must be willing to have the company obtain a Basic Disclosure & Home Office Accreditation (5-year checkable work history) which will be paid for by the company.
- Be proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to positively influence our operational teams.
- Have strong organisational skills and strategic thinking to effectively manage people and processes.
- A pragmatic approach to problem solving and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
