What you'll do

As an Influencer & Content Assistant Marketing Manager in the Brands at M&S team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our 140-year-old brand M&S for today and the future.

In this role you will join a passionate commercially driven Brands at M&S marketing team who are committed to accelerating awareness, enhancing style perceptions and being relevant for our customers across all missions. Working closely with the Organic Social, Paid Social, and wider Marketing & Online teams, you will focus on developing and executing content strategies, ensuring the delivery of fit-for-purpose assets to drive brand awareness and engagement. You will also be responsible, for content, social & event planning for our partner website The Sports Edit.

This is an exciting opportunity for a digitally savvy marketer with a passion for innovation and a track record of delivering measurable outcomes in social-first campaigns.

  • Manage the Brands at M&S influencer program in collaboration with the Social team, including developing briefs and ensuring accountability for deliverables aligned with business priorities.
  • Identify and execute social-first trends, supporting the creation and curation of user-generated content (UGC) for both organic and paid channels.
  • Foster dynamic relationships with influencers and key internal/external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of campaigns
  • Oversee the product approval and gifting process for influencer content creation.
  • Support the social ambassador program supporting brands, including planning, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Accountable for asset management. You will maintain internal Brand portfolios and ensure seamless integration across customer touchpoints. Ensuring assets are delivered on time and to budget.

  • Develop and execute the content calendar for social media and the blog section of the website, ensuring consistency and alignment with the content marketing strategy.
  • Write and edit high-quality copy for blogs and social media posts, integrating content across platforms.
  • Contribute to content flow processes to ensure consistency across touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brief, shoot, design, and edit social media assets, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Supporting event planning to drive awareness as required
  • Plan, schedule, and execute content posting across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
  • Engage in community management, including responding to posts and inbox messages on key platforms.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree or similar in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • A proven track record in brand marketing or campaign roles within the retail fashion or sport fashion domain is essential.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent).
  • Proficient in blog and social media copywriting with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised, with strong project management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Creative thinker with a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities in influencer marketing.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with excellent communication skills for working across diverse teams and stakeholders.
