Job Description
Our Research and Development Team are looking for a new Assistant Manager to join the team in Newcastle or Birmingham here at Evelyn Partners.

As R& D Assistant Manager your responsibilities will include among others:
- Acting as a point of contact for the client to develop claim methodologies and prepare R&D tax relief claims and Patent Box claims for submission to HMRC. This will include taking responsibility for client engagement, technical and costing aspects of the project.
- Ensuring HMRC enquiries are responded to for R&D Tax Claims and Patent Box Claims and advising clients on technical issues relating to R&D Tax Claims.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships with both existing and new clients and work with the client's finance and tax teams to ensure that eligible R&D Tax expenditure and patent income is identified.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should be:
- Ideally fully ATT/CTA qualified or part qualified and working towards or alternatively a background within an Engineering discipline.
- Strong project management skills and able to manage own workload and inform others of project status
- Capable of communicating confidently with clients and internal colleagues of all levels effectively including dealing with technical and finance staff on a one to one to basis, conducting structured discussions.
- Ability to review documentation from more junior team members and provide constructive guidance to enable the production of high quality work.
- Business development and client facing skills and ability to convert new potential opportunities.
