Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Worker Type: Hybrid worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £38,223 (Level one) rising to £41,418 (Level four)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of our workforce within our good and outstanding children's homes. You will be a vital part of the team that cares for our children making a fantastic difference in theirs lives.

You will be expected to support the team via supervision, guidance, appraisals and audits to support young people to be prepared in all areas of their lives to ensure positive outcomes.

You will develop positive relationships and work with our young people, their families and the multi disciplinary team around them.

You will work with the management team to ensure you praise and acknowledge good performance of the team and use the NCC procedures to challenge poor performance.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Level three diploma in Residential care of young people or equivalent.
  • The ability to assist the Manager in the management of the children homes including the allocation of duties and responsibilities, day to day supervision and oversight.
  • Directly worked with children for at least two years.
  • Knowledge of relevant Child Care Legislation, Government Guidance and Best Practice in relation to services provided for young people.
  • Knowledge and understanding of DFE Standards and Regulations for Children's homes 2015.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and offer clear leadership.

- This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.

- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

- The role requires you to participate in the on call rota.
