Connect to your Industry

Help protect a global professional services firm operating in a complex and fast moving risk environment. Within Deloitte Business Security, you'll sit at the intersection of intelligence, protective security and travel security - providing insight that supports informed decision making, operational resilience and the safety of our people, clients and business. This role offers variety, challenge and real-world impact. It's suited to someone who enjoys turning complex information into clear insight, thrives in evolving risk landscapes, and wants to help shape security capability in a forward looking organisation.

Connect to your career at Deloitte

Deloitte drives progress. Using our vast range of expertise, we help our clients' become leaders wherever they choose to compete. To do this, we invest in outstanding people. We build teams of future thinkers, with diverse talents and backgrounds, and empower them all to reach for and achieve more.

What brings us all together at Deloitte? It's how we approach the thousands of decisions we make every day. How we behave, our beliefs and our attitudes. In other words: our values. Whatever we do, wherever we are in the world, we lead the way, serve with integrity, take care of each other , foster inclusion, and collaborate for measurable impact. These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most .

Connect to your opportunity

As an Assistant Manager within Deloitte Business Security (DBS), you'll work across our Intelligence, Protective Security and Travel Security teams, helping to anticipate, assess and manage security risks that affect our people and operations globally. Rather than a narrow role, this is an opportunity to contribute across multiple security disciplines - combining analysis, judgement and practical problem solving.

You'll monitor global developments, assess emerging threats, and produce intelligence and risk insights that enable proportionate, well governed responses. Your work will directly support effective escalation, response and reporting in live and emerging risk situations, helping the firm make informed decisions in a fast moving environment.

You'll engage with stakeholders across DBS, Quality, Risk & Security and the wider firm, delivering security briefings, threat updates and risk communications that translate security risk into clear business understanding and support the development of proportionate mitigation measures.

You'll also play a hands on role in strengthening team capability - developing and maintaining security plans, risk registers and[BC1.1] supporting materials, building tools and helping mature how we use data, technology and (where appropriate) AI, while applying sound judgement, governance and human oversight.

Supporting resilience across the intelligence, protective security and travel security teams will be a key part of the role, contributing to continuity, flexibility and the ongoing development of services as risks, priorities and operating models evolve.

This is a role for someone who enjoys building, not just maintaining - someone motivated to improve how things work and who is trusted to apply sound judgement in a dynamic environment.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

At Deloitte, we value cultural alignment and purpose as highly as technical expertise. We're looking for someone who brings curiosity, integrity and collaboration alongside strong security capability and technical skills.

You're an analytical problem solver. You can interpret complex, ambiguous information, identify patterns and risks, and turn insight into practical, proportionate action that supports sound decision making.

You're a trusted communicator. You explain security issues clearly and confidently to different audiences, tailoring messages so that risks, options and mitigations are genuinely understood.

You're adaptable and resilient. You remain effective in fast moving situations, exercise sound judgement under pressure, and work confidently across competing priorities as threats and business needs evolve.

Essentials:

  • Experience in intelligence analysis, OSINT, security risk management or a closely related field, with a track record of producing clear, evidence based assessments.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify emerging threats, assess risk and support practical mitigation.
  • Experience conducting or supporting security risk assessments relating to people, assets, facilities, travel or business activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and work collaboratively across teams and seniority levels.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross functional team.

Desirables:

  • Professional qualifications in travel risk management, protective security or physical security.[BC2.1][AJ2.2]
  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
  • oriented approach - creating or improving dashboards, trackers, automations, workflows or lightweight tools that enhance team capability and operational effectiveness.
