Job Description
What will you be doing?
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Forensics team in London on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. As Assistant Manager in the Forensics team, you will be responsible for working on a global investigation in aid of criminal proceedings, including asset-tracing of c. $1 billion in funds. You may also undertake general tasks and client work for the wider department.
As Assistant Manager (Forensics), your responsibilities will include among others
- Initial review and understanding of the case
- Carrying out analysis of financial documents such as bank statements / financial statements
- Performing document review of investment documents, banking information and emails
- Drafting emails and providing updates to the team setting out findings from the analysis conducted
- Assisting in the preparation of reports where applicable
- Review of reports and calculations for Managers / Partners to provide quality control
- Assisting more junior team members, such as placement students and interns
- Completing timesheets on a regular basis and maintaining awareness of the case budget
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Forensic experience desirable but not essential
- Ability to analyse large volumes of data
- Report / formal writing skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload
- Ability to communicate with clients
- Ability to recognise and analyse the issues in a case and plan a practical approach
- Attention to detail and clarity of thought
- Ability to work well under pressure
