We're a new, growing organisation-full of energy, ambition, and purpose. As part of our team, you'll play an important role in helping us shape high-quality, efficient services that people rely on every single day.
This is more than just a job. This is a fantastic opportunity to support, and give back to, your local community.
We currently have an opportunity to lead and manage our Facilities Management team as an Assistant Manager.
Your role:
You will help lead the delivery of high-quality facilities management services across a varied portfolio of buildings and commercial contracts. This is a hands-on role that blends operational leadership, client engagement, and emergency response coordination.
In this role, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of facilities, with a particular involvement overseeing the inspection and maintenance of 97 Play areas, ensuring services are delivered effectively and in line with agreed standards. You'll manage teams and subcontractors, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. You'll also be the go-to contact for clients, resolving issues and maintaining strong working relationships. You will also be instrumental in helping to build the commercial element of FM.
A key part of the role involves coordinating seasonal and emergency responses, including gritting operations, flood defence deployment, and barrier erection during tidal events, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure public safety.
What you will need:
We're looking for someone with solid experience in facilities management who shows high levels of commercial awareness and can lead multi-disciplined teams. You'll need excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a relevant professional qualification, and be knowledgeable around statutory health and safety requirements.
Do you have the skills, experience, or potential to succeed in this role? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
