KPMG is looking to recruit an Assistant Manager in their in-house Tax team, specialising in employment and expatriate tax compliance.

The individual will be required to demonstrate exceptional tax compliance skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. The work is by nature high profile and the ability to treat matters with the utmost confidentiality will be key.

The work will involve working closely with other tax professionals, to deliver an efficient employment tax compliance service.

What will you be doing?

  • You will be responsible for working closely with the central project team and various client facing teams to ensure the firm is compliant with respect to the IR35 legislation
  • Preparing and reviewing of KPMG's PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) and other related employment tax reporting
  • P11D tax compliance reviews including support to the People function
  • Employment tax advisory to the business
  • International employment tax and social security advice to the business
  • Liaising with and obtaining advice from other KPMG member firms on local employer reporting requirements and personal tax compliance
  • Providing clear guidance to business, HR, Reward and other teams
  • Dealing with ad hoc tax compliance projects as and when required
  • Training tax analysts and first review of their analysis

What will you need to do it?

  • Practical employment and expatriate tax experience
  • Strong employment tax and/or expatriate tax technical skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • High level of analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and delivering services
  • Strong interpersonal skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skills

Skills we'd love to see/Amazing Extras:

  • ATT/CTA/ACA qualified, would consider part qualified applicants
